Temecula’s summer heat is the thing visitors consistently underestimate. The marine breeze that cools the nights does nothing for a two o’clock tasting on an exposed patio. Going underground stops being a novelty in that context and starts being a strategy, which is why this belongs in the middle of a hot day rather than at the end of it.
